About Rovereto:
Rovereto is a beautiful town, located at 212 m. above sea level, in the Vallagarina which is crossed by the Adige river. The name derives from “roboretum”, oak forest, for which it is called the city of the Oak.
Damaged during the Great War, it was rebuilt so that walking in its streets you will discover the signs of the different historical periods and relative dominations: the Middle Ages, Venetian domination, the eighteenth century, Austria; visit the gardens that embellish it and the buildings now used as museums or public buildings.
The Castelbarco Castle is now home to the War Museum, while on the Hill of Miravalle it plays every evening the Bell of the Fallen called “Maria Dolens” fused with the bronze of the cannons, to remember that Rovereto is also a City of Peace.
City of museums with the MART, the House of Futurist Art by Fortunato Depero, the Civic Museum Foundation, Palazzo Alberti Poja, Casa Rosmini and much more!
Rovereto is also a place for festivals: music with the Mozart Festival, dance with “Oriente e Occidente” and that on Archaeological Cinema.
